Ohhh, that fucking movie. I was forced to watch it by a friend who was so excited, I couldn't bear to let him down by acknowledging how terrible it was.

Oh, it's ok, I think masturbation's very healthy.

I am pretty sure its portrayal of MPD was total bullshit, but whatever, I loved all the characters who weren't Tara or Kate. Marshall was by far the best depiction of a gay teenager I've ever seen on TV. And Charmaine!

I liked it a lot, once upon a time, but quit around season 3. There's only so many times Hank Moody can hit rock bottom/reconnect with his estranged wife before I am entirely past caring.

The variations on the Blackadder credits were especially great, they sort of commented on the history of representations of each era too.

Excellent comment/avatar synergy.

I was wondering the same thing. And since Django is a freed slave, does that make his doll ok? Or is the issue owning dolls representing black people at all? What's their position on Barbie's friend Christie?

The Aviator left out the only part of Howard Hughes' life that I'm actually interested in: the Vegas-mormon-recluse years. And the subsequent fight over his will.

For all his faults, there's no denying the dude's work ethic.

I think it's a question of the kind of horror we're talking about - psychological, suspense stuff? PG-13 is fine, generally a good sign that they're showing proper restraint. Slasher flick? Anything less than R is going to be totally worthless.

See, there you go!

This is a political debate, Professor. There is no place here for your reasonable equanimity.

Screw the Obamerati;
They worse than the Illuminati

For what it's worth, Cat Stevens has apologised for a lot of the stupid shit he said back in the 70s and 80s. As he explains it, he was newly converted and didn't really understand the issues he was mouthing off about. He's been very outspoken about condemning Islamic extremism and terrorism in the last few years, so

Until Sheen kicks Mr. Bucket, the network head.

Hmm, I would say that the AV Club occasionally suffers from that brand of misogyny that's pretty rife in geek culture, in which consumers are assumed to be male, and misogynistic jokes are often made in an off-hand way. It's more thoughtless than malicious, and at least when it's pointed out commenters are generally

Aw, this one is great. Hey, everybody, come look at this one! It's so good.
