17 miles is a good amount to do daily, but it's about an hour ish and it will burn 300-400 calories maybe in city traffic (it's exactly my daily commute too). It's very easy to eat an extra 300-400 calories… The only time I ever lost a huge amount of weight was when I took a four month cycling trip through places…

i used this line so many times when traveling around south america… was only really funny to me though
