Actually, she is?

If the questions is, has Lena Dunham taken shit as an adult, the answer is objectively "yes."

That doesn't really address my point.

You get that "Girls" is a comedy about self-indulgent people, right?

Uh, Kitchen Confidential was ENTIRELY about the hard life of a cook? And did he pay his dues or did he fuck around a lot on drugs while not doing a great job at his job?

I don't think you can claim that having thousands to millions of people call you ugly, a bad writer, a bad artist, entitled, pretentious, a bad person, etc. would not bother you at all unless you've had that experience. C'mon.

Honestly, what makes any artist "good" is having the time, education, and leisure to create art. And that's an expensive privilege. I mean, HAVE YOU SEEN MY MOVIE?

I think I sort of get your distinction—Bourdain has "had to" work shitty jobs where he was treated poorly, whereas Dunham hasn't had to play that role. But read up on Bourdain. His background is almost as privileged as Dunham's. He could afford to rebel. I actually really enjoy Anthony Bourdain as a writer and TV

Eh, I have never had the experience of thousands of people calling me ugly on the Internet, but I imagine it's overwhelming, to say the least. Just one person calling me insulting my appearance—even if it's somebody that I know has ulterior motives for putting me down—is painful and upsetting. We live so much of our

I don't think Anthony Bourdain is a better writer than Lena Dunham. I think he's better than I expected him to be but still very pretentious.

ALSO, check out this article, where the creator of the show, Lee Daniels, talks about how Andre is based on Daniels' own experiences as an openly gay black man. The trashcan incident really happened to him. You might want to be more careful about criticizing the experiences of other people as cliche when they're real.

Also, dude, you saying that the character "just looks like a white dude to me" and that his ethnicity "is neither here nor there," i.e., DOESN'T MATTER, is really troubling to me. Because it's not respectful. How do you know that Latino gay men watching this show aren't excited to see a positive portrayal of a Latino

a.) if you don't even know what Six Feet Under is, maybe don't be so vain about your TV-critiquing skills.

You think about everything!

Did your mom have any kids that lived?

All I am trying to do is to point out that a phenomenon that you claim is incredibly common is actually not even statistically significant. Which I have!

See above.

I keep bringing up marriage because it's the only way that you can actually get your hands on a significant chunk of your partner's money. If you're a mere girlfriend to a rich guy, you might get nice dinners, a trip or two, jewelry . . . but you yourself don't become rich, which invalidates your "provider" argument.

Then how are all your imaginary bimbos profiting from these wealthy mates? If you're trying to be a professional nerdy sexist, you really need to be more logical and less emotional.

I'm making fun of you, bae.
