Another reason to be glad they didn't cast Christian Bale in that role.

Also, it's an old-school reference. Earliest instance I can find is Rockmaster Scott and the Dynamic 3 (also the source for the Chemical Bros' Hey Boy Hey Girl sample):
^ This. That was the joke.
In the interest of improving the maturity of this thread, I think Adele's hot.
Sam Jackson does character parts?
@kjohnson1585: aha, now I get you. You might well be right there - if I remember right, the standard here in the UK is "reckless indifference," and I assume in the US it's going to be something pretty similar.

@Endall and Clueless: re #3, Anthony was convicted of providing false information, because that appears to be all they had direct (as opposed to circumstantial) evidence of.
"If they had gone for manslaughter or another lesser charge the 'more than likely guilty even with no direct evidence' thing might have sufficed."
I wasn't following the trial throughout, but like Giggles said, as far as I know, they never brought any evidence of her killing the child. She seems to have acted absolutely crazy since then, and yes, that's consistent with having killed her, but if that's enough then they need to execute all crazy people.
Indeed. Some juries can't even get their head around the idea that they're supposed to try the offence charged. http://en.wikipedia.org/wik…
The obvious best name I could think of for a medicore band is Spinal Tap, but apparently that's been taken. Maybe I should have gone with Spinal Sawblade Holders (my imaginary band I named after something I saw at work).
@Kinsey: I didn't want to, but somebody clearly needed it explained to them. Hence the sigh.
@Serious Poster: yeah, I get that. In related news, there isn't (to the best of my knowledge) really a type of music called Medicore either, it was just a typo Lovecraft made.
Oh, and @Girard: good point sir/miss/mate/darling, delete as appropriate.
@Lovecraft: what's the medicore scene like in Brooklyn these days? I saw The Biopsies a while back and they've really gone downhill.
Um. Isn't Legend Of The Liquid Sword the sequel to Liquid Swords?
Haha yes! But only if we can get Ralph McTell to do the theme tune.
But he IS knee-deep in pussy if you count the audience. Every time I told a girl I'd seen that film, she'd say something like "oh, is it good? I hear Thor's quite… um… handsome?" like she wouldn't really know about these things (and hadn't been jilling off to the trailers).
I had it on the C64 and didn't find it *that* hard - at least it was pretty early in the game as I remember. But yeah, I was glad I worked out early on that I'd need to keep Donatello alive for the end. No way I was doing that whole thing twice.
