Nice to see this grade. Been getting a lot of mixed (or plain old bad) reviews. But I generally trust the AV Club's judgment, so will be checking this out.

One of his biggest criticisms in this review is the lack of advancement. One expects sequels to advance from one to the next. So if game 1 was great, and game 2 was exactly the same, but improvements and refinements were expected, then game 2 would naturally receive a lower score.

Then scroll on over to IGN's multi-page masturbatory "review." It should have all the sentences you need.

Now seeing that this game gets a C due to it being a retread, I am really curious to see what BF3 will get, because if any game is a retread of the last, BF3 is it.

I wouldn't be all that surprised if a Skyrim review took two months. There will likely be so much damn content in that game, it would likely take that long to complete a full review.
