Good call on that. Though I sort of ignored the whole prequel trilogy because it's generally a horrible mess, but mostly because I can't remember a lot of it.

With the exception of "Legend". I just can't get into the DC of it. There are some brilliant scenes that were cut from the theatrical edition but there are others that just don't seem to "fit" (or kill the pace).

I see Gaiman's point but there is something to be said about taking 5-6 years to write a bloody book. George may not be our bitch but I think that sometimes the fanbase has a right to bitch, y'know? It's tough to reconnect to a series when it's been 5-6 years since the last entry. It's especially unpalatable when you

Actually, he needs to do this using a William Shatner impression. That never gets old.

Shit. I thought I made a pretty amusing Crumb reply above but it appears that you beat me to the punch. :-(

I've always wondered if Lucas had a weird fetish for arms and hands. Wounding or disarming arms and hands that is.

Fuck that. I want Salacious Crumb: The Saga Begins.

Agreed. Live at Pompeii is pretty incredible and the added notion of no audience in an ancient amphitheatre is pure spooky brilliance.

@avclub-90a5da808b7409c044aac94d490e7f0d:disqus I watched it the same way. When the show first aired I believe I watched the first half of the first season — but just couldn't take waiting a week at a time for the show to progress. I ended up waiting (somehow!) until the the entire run had completed and then promptly

And you forgot Men Without Hats!

Jazz age revival? Shoot me in the head the day that happens.

My vote would definitely be for "So Jealous". "I Know I Know I Know" and "Walking with a Ghost" are outstanding tracks.

Why wouldn't you want to look like a Bond villain outside your home??

Perhaps the thesis should be modified slightly? Is Mister Rogers Neighborhood the greatest children's show ever? I'm sure many would agree that it was.

You really have to love the whole Navy SEAL sniper urban legend. It's pure genius.

I would argue that a newbie should at least watched the first episode of BSG before deciding if it's worth their while. If "33" doesn't hook you than nothing will…

I would argue it became a massive sprawling series BEFORE Jordan died. Too many tangents, too many subplots and too many implausibly catty, abrasive female characters killed it for me.

Ironically, when I recommend Fringe to people I usually tell them to just skip to the second season.

I completely disagree that the characters in Babylon 5 aren't easily broken down into simple archetypes. The characters of Londo and G'Kar can quite easily be dissected into pure archetypes.

Wasn't it?
