On a semi-related note, what the hell happened to Mos Def? He had so much promise as a rapper and an actor and while his career hasn't exactly been a disaster it's a pretty big disappointment. I was hoping to learn more about him from this book. That did not happen.

I covered it for New (To Us) a while back. I agree that it's improved and gotten a little less manic and goofy with time. I'm digging it. Definitely not for everyone but it's got its loopy charms.
