When watching the first few episodes, it's jarring to see how bright they tried to light it, until they found that nice yellow gold hue.

I thought it was supposed to be the other side of the coin, since both Roseanne and The Cosby Show were produced by Carsey-Werner, and at one time NBC was interested in Roseanne, until they passed.

I think the quotes are mixed up. When the power was turned off, it was "Well, middle class was fun." and when Dan was in jail, it was "We're officially poor white trash." …I may know too much about this series.

I'm gonna keep posting roseanne episodes, because I can. You really get a sense of how real a father Dan was here, when Becky and Mark took out Dan's bike. The moment that sells it for me is this moment:
Becky: Well, if I would've asked, you would've just said 'no'
Dan: That's right, What does that TELL YOU?

Roseanne starts to chase her, then when John sees the emmy, he starts to chase her, too. I think the joke is that they were all nominated, but laurie was the only one who won.

I had always liked the show since I was 15, when I caught most of the middle-later run in syndication during the summer, but the moment that solidified it as one of my favorite shows ever was watching "Terms of Estrangement, Part 2" about 6 months after coming out to my family. I believe that clip also ran on a "Women in comedy special" on mothers day about 10 years ago. It was my first teenage introduction to Roseanne.
