Is this what passes for a clever comment these days? Please tell me it isn't.
Later on tonight, I'm going to take some ecstasy, crank up some techno music, and reread this thread.
Plagiarism isn't so bad. Are you an academic? You sound like an academic.
That's some scary shit right there.
"Roam" is a wonderful song.
I love that line.
"Like Gus Van Sant’s 1998 remake of Psycho (albeit far more enjoyable), Franju’s Judex is a fascinating experiment rather than a fully satisfying movie in its own right."
This movie really should have received an A grade. Franju was a genius, and his Judex is in my opinion his best film. It is an astonishing work.
This is simply untrue. The storylines of those three Feuillade serials are entirely different from each other.
He was always my favorite on that show - okay, except for Andy Dick…but we're not always our most perceptive when we're 14 years old.
Yeah, but can I jerk off to it?
Yes, I'm a Marxist, and yes, liberals are worth mocking. Liberalism and Marxism have many fundamental differences, and if you aren't aware of that, then you are truly an ignoramus.Get back to me after you've studied your political theory 101.
Of course it's a bad book - look at the fucking cover!
"it says alot about his policies as president"
I liked Tiny Furniture enough to buy the Criterion DVD, but I found the description of Lena Dunham as a "visionary" to be a shocking exaggeration of her skills. She is a skilled, wry humorist, no more, no less.
it's all right - pretty good western, but nothing special. Doesn't hold a candle to Liberty Valance or The Searchers.
Not true. Kino-Lorber, for example, has just released several of Alain Robbe-Grillet's films on region 1 DVD for the first time. Quite rare films. I've seen a couple so far, and they are fascinating. Those are the kinds of movies being put on DVD that A.V. Club should be reviewing - not some fucking boring-ass Douglas…
Congratulations.
There A.V. Club goes again, acting as press agents for every goddamned Criterion release.
