I thought it was pretty good. The underlying story is standard indie, but it's elevated by the weirdness of the premise and Langella's performance. And it's under 90 minutes including credits, so not a huge time investment.

I'm glad to see her still around - she was one of my favorite during her SNL tenure. I'm surprised she doesn't pop up more in Will Ferrell films, given that they had such a great rapport together.
Aside from being funny and underrated, Dick actually taught me a lot about Watergate. I saw it when it came out (I was in 6th or 7th grade at the time), and then in high school we did a unit on it and all the little details (the taped door handle, the 18 1/2 missing minutes, Deep Throat, etc.) started coming back.
I watched Gattaca and Lorenzo's Oil in multiple science classes. Lorenzo's Oil always struck me as strange - it has science-y elements but it's mostly a family drama.
That first sentence was a perfect description. It was far from great and meandering and the characters were sometimes teeth-gratingly annoying/frustrating, but I love this show and will miss it greatly.
I saw maybe a dozen episodes and sometimes it at least worked for the length of the episode. There was one guy who couldn't open the door to his apartment all the way and he got it fully cleaned out, mostly because his landlord said he would evict him if it got that bad again.
Work Bitch is her obvious "here's something for my gays to grind to" song. This is in no way a bad thing.
She's strongly hinted more than a few times that she's getting tired of being a pop star, so this was the logical next move. Can't begrudge her wanting to spend time with her kids. I CAN, however, fault her for the shitty, shitty album that was Femme Fatale.
One of the Space Ghost: Coast to Coast season boxsets has negative review quotes on the back. I remember one says something like "If this is Cartoon Network's plan for future late night programming, it doesn't bode well," which is hilarious in hindsight given how many Adult Swim shows were inspired by it.
I got so many boners during Pacific Rim. God, that was a hot cast.
If I'm remembering right, he wanted it that way - he went the "fake name on the screenplay so it fails or succeeds on its own merits" route when he was shopping it around.
JACOB SILJ!
Obligatory "Holy shit, he's 41?!" post
I'm surprised there's not a book of Roger Ebert photography coming out. He used to post awesome candid festival photos to his Facebook feed all the time.
The best non-Almost Famous thing Kate Hudson ever did?….. yes.
Eh, this is true to a certain point (certainly more true with creative writing majors, based purely on anecdotal experience). But I got my MA in film/media studies and got a lot of great hands-on experience while in school, along with learning plenty of history and theory and having ample time to pursue my own…
I admire Ke$ha's lack of pretension and enjoy a couple of her singles (We R Who We R, Your Love Is My Drug), but there's a line where the lyrics to pop songs are just too retarded, and she crosses it frequently.
As a fan of both, I think Roar is a pretty boring song. Applause isn't great either, but I'd take it over Roar. Neither one feels big enough for the lead single from a female pop album, which makes me wary of the eventual albums.
I thought both Psycho sequels were much better than they had any right to be. The third one had Jeff Fahey, for chrissakes.
I guess Ashton Kutcher fans will see it? People who get sucked in by all the review blurbs in the TV spots? People who really, really love Steve Jobs and crave his related media? Hell, I'm vaguely entertaining the idea of catching a bored weekday matinee because JK Simmons and James Woods are in it, and I have to see…
