I guess it was just my Venture Bros love and South Park annoyance talking. Also, the same thing done in comics is as much comparable to the same as the same thing being done in other animations.

Is it just me, or does this remind me a bit too much of Venture Bros guild politics shit?

I'd like to add an original speculative conspiracy theory: Germaine Greer wrote the Python's material, but they have something truly horrible on her and dictate her every move. I remember her being quite funny in some old interviews, but they've put an end to that lest someone makes the connection.
