The paler beers of England were also a result of the Industrial Revolution and certainly not blonde, just lighter in color next to stout and porter. Toasting malt and not coloring the shit out of it is high tech stuff.

I watched Dweebs back in the day, all I remember is they tricked Stephen Tobolowsky into thinking capes were fashionable.  And whereas this failed, The Big Bang Theory was a huge hit.
