I don't see that this has been mentioned, but the case made me think of the Jamie Leigh Jones case - although there are quite a few differences so it might be a stretch:

I love Lambreaux and Batiste, but for me the best thing about the show is how amazing the performances and stories of the women are - LaDonna, Toni and Janette.

The reason I don't really see the Maddow comparison is that she really doesn't take herself this seriously. She's quick to acknowledge there's a place for comedy in reporting the news and doesn't shy away from letting that into her show.

I didn't read all the comments, so apologize if this has already been covered.

My favorite thing about Drive was all the scenes of Carey Mulligan and Ryan Gosling just looking at each other. I'm glad to see someone else give a nod to just how appealing those largely wordless moments managed to be due to the sensational acting (and undeniable beauty) of those two.

Having just finished the 4th season, I sure wish you'd start watching and writing it about it as soon as possible. It's good stuff.

Omar's death got spoiled for me to (though not with as much detail as its been here), it's still damn good when you get there though—as are a lot of other amazing moments to come. Enjoy!

I feel I should weigh in because I'm apparently one of the only people currently liking Treme a bite more than the Wire (certainly more than I liked the Wire when only one season in anyways—season 4 was the one that really got me).
