No, that's incorrect. You're confusing those who "run the room" to those being showrunners. There is always someone, usually a co-executive producer, who "runs the rom." The showrunner is above them. Joss was the showrunner on Dollhouse.

Dollhouse's second season, minus a miss step in the episode where Echo was a mother, was really great. There has been nothing like it on television. I really wish it had a longer run, because that show ended up evolving into something very poignant.

There've been article about it being cut running all week, and I saw the pilot last May.

I don't disagree at all. I was talking about a very specific criticism that I don't really understand.

Sims's score makes sense given the text of the review. You're projecting your own disappointment to call into question the biases of the reviewer, when the review and the score pretty clearly match up, especially for a first year show.

The CG in that show is baaaaaaaad. Like, WOW, how is this possible?!

She's had a weird career. She's also one of the few TV writers who's pretty effortlessly floated from comedy to drama, back and forth. Which is insanely commendable since that almost never happens.

I don't, no, because again, it's seems like a bad habit to call into question a reviewer's motives instead of pointing out where you do or don't disagree.

…but, you have no way to prove that. You're also calling into questions everyone biases and ability to construct rational opinions based on your personal preferences, which can differ wildly from others.

I also would say that people seem really excited about this Mulan thing — and I realized I just trivialized it so much by saying "this Mulan thing", it's really a big deal. And it's sweet and nice, but. I still think OUAT is a trite as they come. I get the appeal, I just… can't get into it.

Yeah, that's my hope too. My other worry is that there could be too many cooks in the kitchen. But we'll see. Watching the episode now, and this is an improvement, with large caveats.

The second season of Dollhouse was just fucking awesome. Chills at that Sierra episode. And Victor as Kiki! Ugh. I miss it.

Again, are you 12? Maybe 13? I seriously don't understand how this is flying over your head.

Do you realize how silly this is become? You're injecting your OWN subtext into Sims's review to pull out how he MUST be an apologist, because no true AVClub reviewer could have these low standards.

I'm torn — love the premise, hate the execution. I don't think it's particularly clever, and it's poorly cast, which is partially due to the fact that it's a low budget webseries.

Because what he's posting, and also, your insane theories on the subtext of Sims's integrity as a reviewer, is absolutely asinine. They're not really worthy of dignifying a response.

Deserving in your mind. Sims has also been doing this for a while. There's really no reason to question his integrity outside of the fact that you don't like the show and don't necessarily have the imagination that others might disagree. I'm watching the episode now, and reading the review, and while I don't agree on

Jane is running OUAT in Wonderland with the guy from Zero Hour, which is somehow worse than OUAT. Poor Jane.

Watching now, and ya, she's awful. People may dislike Skye, but at least she has some charisma (if not the most well drawn character).

Oh boy.
