At one point, Dee Snider actually had his teeth filed down so it looked like he had a mouthful of fangs. Apparently that did so much damage to the inside of his mouth that he got those lovely white caps that you see in the newer pic.

I didn't see that, but a friend saw Twisted Sister open for Iron Maiden in the late 80s/early 90s, and apparently the audience so disliked Twisted Sister that they started throwing pennies at Dee Snider. I got to see him perform Fool Moon many years back (got to meet him backstage, too, and he was very friendly), and it was one of the most amazing live performances I've ever seen in my life.
