I haven't watches this show at all but based on these reviews I feel it is essentially Homer's scary story for the third treehouse of horror.

Wasn't there a requirement for criminals to be punished in the end of Hollywood movies?  The only two I can think of where they are not punished by the law are Scarlet Street and The Locket.  I can't recall any others though there may be more.

I love this film and given the recent events of the last two decades still as relevant.  Only I guess nowadays his character may be considered too big to jail.

I love The Idiot.  Hara's performance is amazing and really shows her versatility.  I also think this is one of Mifune's best roles along with I Live in Fear.  I really wish a complete version existed somewhere.
