Oh man, that Patton song is nigh on impossible to stop listening to. And continuing the Italian theme (with the guitarist from Mondo Cane, no less), this morning I can't stop listening to Guano Padano's "Un Occhio Verso Tokio".

Those were the heady days of the second half of 11th grade/first half of 12th grade at a high-expectation prep school. The bulk of my time was spent trying to hoodwink some top-tier college into accepting me (it didn't work) and not having any friends. Those were great days, indeed — just the kind of year a gal

Perhaps it's all the nostalgia in the air, but this description of the mental process behind watching MTV back in the day is so spot on that it just delights me. God, the hours of my teenage years I wasted just waiting for that payoff of a cool video…

My freshman-year roommate at college pierced her navel with a sewing needle. The ensuing furious red welts that appeared all over her stomach around the increasingly infected wound (to say nothing of all the pus) definitely undermined the sexiness of it.

I was on a two-day road trip with my mother to do a college campus visit when Vs came out. I demanded that we include stopping at a record store to buy the CD on our itinerary, and because our car didn't have a CD player I had to bring a portable one (which my dorky mother insisted on calling a "boom box") and a heap

You're so right that The Unknown is completely cracked out, in the most marvelous, creepy, horrible, amazing way. That movie is just pure awesomeness.

Whoa whoa whoa — cocktail recipes made with beet juice? I have beets. Lots of them. And a Vitamix. Please, tell me more.

I also thought that said she was trapped until she was four. But the second sentence made it clear the ordeal started just before her fourth birthday, thank heavens.

The girls in Bisbee need a little glamour!

Congratulations! What wonderful news for you and your family and the drivers who share the road with you!

I love Scotland Yard! I get really Type-A about board games and generally suck at them, so many of them end up making me too ragey, but Scotland Yard? That was one I could happily play for hours and hours.

Good luck!

That's terrible! I hope your mother is on the mend now, and things just get better from here.

That has never backfired for the Leafs before…

You don't need to worry about goaltending now — didn't you guys pick up Rick DiPietro? Problems solved!

You're also really running the gamut today. I like the variety!

You're getting down to it being nearly just HOURS before the Pelican show, aren't you?
