Grow Your Own Food sub-thread!

Mmm.  Do you have any leftovers?  That I could invite myself over for?

Oh wow, those teas sound so good.  I'm very intrigued by the Japanese cherry one.  I'm such a sucker for fruit flavored teas; my current favorite is the ginger peach from Todd & Holland, but there's a big hole in my life where a tea flavored with red fruit is needed.

Bonnie "Prince" Billy - "No Bad News"  It's like my ipod knew I saw BPB & Dawn McCarthy in Philly last night!
Mark Lanegan - "Tonight"  I… did not know this was a song on my ipod.  For someone who pores over all things Lanegan, how was I not aware of this?  And why were my speakers too quiet for me to hear it?  Is

Finally, a fresh topic after so many redundant food threads!

Absolutely — my childhood entertainment also hinged on MacGyver and Quantum Leap.  We were a really cool family; my little brother used to play as a superhero named MacGyver Kid.  I wonder why none of us had any friends…

Oh my god, one of my friends directed my attention to this song last week.  She was going on about how it totally speaks to her, and is so meaningful to where she is in her life right now, so, trying to be a good friend, I was like, "I'll check it out and take it seriously, because it means so much to her…"  I… did

I was going to say something of the sort here but was like, "Self, just scroll down — Lurky's gonna have taken care of this already."

Apparently the response to that was so positive that it led Sheldon Leonard to cast Bill Cosby in I Spy.

Dammit!  I wanted that to be my theme song, but you got it first!

Robert Tabernacle?  Mormon porn!

I'm extravagantly heavy — several tons, at least.

Wow, this might be the best a7x installment yet.

Oooh, sounds like a delicious winter ahead for you!  I've got five gallons of full-sour dill pickles fermenting in my kitchen right now.  With another gallon of them already packed up in the fridge.  I have no idea if these are safe to can, though, because the brine's just water and salt — no vinegar.  So I'm just

@LJo1:disqus Oh my god, don't give her any ideas!

Oh my god, how horrible.  I'm so, so sorry — deepest condolences to you and your whole family.

I'm a worrier who specializes in getting extremely freaked-out about apocalyptic scenarios that are statistically very unlikely to happen.  And now I'm going to be up nights worrying about the impending Nickelback Doomsday Event.  Please tell me I'm being irrational.

Hey, I'm a total fitness buff now.  ::ROARS!::  ::FLEXES!::  ::slumps over, exhausted::

I have a friend who used to live in an apartment that had a layout that was just a hallway with a bunch of rooms off it.  Whenever she walked from the kitchen (at the back of the apartment) to the living room (at the front), she sang, "The looooooooooooooooooooooooong hallway!  IT'S SO LONG!"
