Oooh… fabric.  ::drools::  What does it look like?  I have a fabric problem.  I just bought a full-line fat quarter bundle of Urban Chiks' Boho line.  Because I needed more fabric like I need a hole in my head.

You're so right!  It actually ushered in the era of not only having no story, but also only having as much half-decent CGI as you need to make a kick-ass trailer.  (And, in the case of "Twister", having more cool CGI in the trailer than you do in the boring-ass movie proper.)

I completely agree, Lurky.  I love the sound of cicadas, but can't ever forget that time when I was a kid and we had that new puppy, and I picked the puppy up to hug it to my face… and then discovered it had a cicada hanging from its mouth, rubbing up against my cheek, its terrible, indelible, lifeless buggy stare

Congrats on the new kitchen garden!  I'm glad to hear the planter you reported on buying last week was for such a delicious purpose.  Being able to just snip all the herbs you need for something is so much better than paying for so much extra from the store.

And congratulations to you, as well!  Good news abounds!

Sounds fun!  I loved Disney World as a cynical teenager, so I bet it's even better when you're an adult.

It's making me enjoy my simple, carefree and childless mid-thirties.

I almost always eat leftovers for lunch.  My gold standard is vegetable-heavy chili; I'll make a huge pot of it, stretch it with brown rice, and then package up the leftovers for lunches.  Probably 85% of my lunches are leftover chili, but it never gets boring because something's always getting changed up in the mix

Holy flirking schnitt.  That sounds AMAZING.  Thanks for the tip — I'm definitely going to check this book out.

Oooh, congratulations on the promotion!  But BOOOOO! to being too busy for us.

Well, Mother's Day is technically our target, too, but I think global warming is turning my Zone 6 into a Zone 7.  Normally I get suicidally depressed thinking about global warming, but the thought that my last frost date would be a month earlier is kind of appealing…

Dammit, I put my five songs on Madbeatnik's thread.  I'm failing at TI today!  I blame it on the early posting.

40 is way too many for me to keep track of, but my five-song shuffle today was very appropriate for a gray spring morning.

Double congrats to you, too!!

Congratulations!  On her good news and on you liking the guy!

You really can't go wrong with salted caramel frosting.  That's the sort of thing that should just be eaten with a spoon.

Oooh, that sounds really good.  I've got a whole bunch of ground chicken in the freezer, and I think it's all crying out for this treatment.

Hi LJo!

How does your garden grow thread!

I had a cat once who was so aggressive at playing what we called "Bite & Scratch" that it became clear at a very young age that he needed to lose 50% of that equation.  It made more sense to get him declawed than to get him detoothed.
