Hey!  I finally bit the bullet and bought new underwear (it's been a long time coming), so does that mean I've earned that bag?  Because that bag is AMAZING.

Nothing would EVER stop me from ordering a Bloody Grasshopper at a bar or restaurant.  If I saw that name on a menu, I'd be drinking it.  The description on the menu could say it's Clorox mixed with shit, and I'd still order it just because who doesn't want to drink a Bloody Grasshopper?

Well, we left a lot of drinks untried, so we'll be back before too long — maybe we'll be able to cross paths then!  :)

My name was misspelled on my first driver's license; they replaced a Q with a G.  I didn't even notice for two years, until I was showing off what an adorable drivers license picture I had to some friends at college and one of them started laughing at my name.  This was all pre-9/11, thank god, or I'd never be allowed

Still quilting!  (And quilting, and quilting, and quilting…)  I've also just assembled all the necessary threads to needlepoint a schmancy Christmas stocking for my sister.

Now I'm jealous — my ipod didn't play any Faith No More.  :(

Soulsavers - No Expectations
NIN - Every Day It's Exactly The Same
The Dead Weather - Hang You From The Heavens
Twilight Singers - The Beginning of the End
Jamie Saft - Fresser Dub

I am very intrigued by this Cilantro Sriracha vodka.  What kind of ratios did you use?

That bok choi with pork and rice sounds stupendous.  I'm going to try to memorize this for when bok choi season starts at my farm.

My sister and I took a little four-day-weekend vacation to Chicago last week and dude, the streets are paved with cocktails there (I'm not sure how that works, but it does).  We drank at Sable, Silver Cloud, Topolobampo, Milt's Barbeque, and a bar whose name I can't recall (with LJo1 and occasional commenter); between

Oh my god, that soup sounds insanely good.

Only three days off!  That's a new record for the TI.

I'm not sure this counts, but one of the most enchanting days of my life happened when I stumbled across the London Film Festival a few years ago.  My mother had never traveled outside the country, so my sisters and I decided to take her on a swanky trip to London.  One day we decided to go to the National Gallery,

You're so right — both of the Lanegan Soulsavers albums are excellent.

Why does everyone keep pointing things out that I failed to notice when cringing away from the picture when the page first opened, so now I have to keep scrolling up to look at it again??  My workplace internet monitors are going to think terrible things about me, for the way I keep going back and lingering on this

I actually thought the eensy-weensy ones were moles at first glance.

My big initiation albums into rock were Faith No More's "Angel Dust" and Afghan Whigs' "Gentlemen".  Between Mike Patton and Greg Dulli, pretty much the entire spectrum of rock vocal potential was opened up for me.

I'd never listened to any Depeche Mode, but recently picked up the Soulsavers album that Gahan sings on.  Holy jumpin'!  That guy can really sing.  That's my inane comment for today, and I completely agree with you that he's underrated.

I wish I could give more than one like for Katamari Damacy.  GREAT call on that one.

Has anyone mentioned Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World yet?  Because that should be mentioned.
