I don't know…IMO Renard looked kinda turned on in that final shot after Juliette woged. I don't think Juliette is necessarily attracted to him but it would make sense that he would be drawn to another "good" Hexenbiest.

To confirm Mario's comment, the closed captioning definitely said "gunshot" after this happened.

He does, and I've always loved Wu, but…that final shot of him in the Grimmebago, studying the "enemy," kinda gave me pause. It almost looked like he broke in without telling Nick. And something about his accepting the Wesen life so easily (after his PTSD, or maybe PWSD) makes me think that he will be the first of

SUCH a great episode! And like you, I was convinced Bud was about to be killed and was preemptively cringing in my living room. He was crucial to this ep, and I was so proud of him for overcoming the Eisbiber timidity and announcing his friendship with Nick. Yay Bud!

Evil Lincoln, thanks so much for that great recap (and once again getting this discussion thread going)! I wish the AVC would contact you to start up full-blown Grimm recaps again…

I doubt they'll pull the "dream" card twice in three episodes, though. Much more likely Nick will assume (as I would, frankly) that it's Adalind trying to fuck with him again.

100% agree. "Coming Down Again," "Winter" and "Starfucker" are still three of my favorite songs.

Not that they've EVER clarified what Nick's powers are (except for the obvious extra eye cones/Wesen vision thing). Both he and Trubel seem to have genetic fighting skills that include their use of medieval Grimm weapons, so…instinctive memory reflexes?

Hexenbiests seem to be half and half, on the Woge/Magical Ability scale. We've seen Adalind and Elizabeth do witchy things in human form, but they seem to transform for major spellcraft, I think.

You're totally right — as a cop, of course Nick would reach for a gun first. But I have to admit I love whenever Nick arms himself with one of the ancient Grimm weapons…they seem to free him to do more badass things, like cutting off Reapers' heads and sending them home in a box.

David Giuntoli was great in that scene, though. He just kept getting wound up tighter and tighter as Nick tried to explain, and he *knew* he sounded crazy, but was in too deep at that point. It was pretty hilarious at the time.

Seriously, when they cut away to Evil Prince Wesley & Adalind I nearly threw a shoe at the screen. There were two HUGE plots happening at that point—why add a third?

That's a good point, although Nick knows where Trubel is (back East with Josh), so it wouldn't be that hard to get her on a plane back to Portland. But yeah, a perfect chance for a guest Trubel appearance!

I always love when Renard talks about Nick to others…especially when he calls him "my Grimm." It's clear that having his own personal Wesen hunter/guardian confers the kind of status he lost when he was cast out of the Royals.

They really advertised it a LOT this week, though — but only on NBC shows and various websites. Obviously if you're not watching other NBC shows you won't see Constantine's ads. And while they did a huge campaign for the show before it premiered (billboards and everything) I doubt they can afford that cost for

"EVERYONE (except the Gems obviously) was attracted to Stevonnie."

EXACTLY. You know Renard is deeply pissed (and now that the cop is exposed as a racist thug Wesen, he's free to do whatever Hexenbiest-y thing he wants to him).

Sadly the ratings fell even further — 20% down from the last episode. I appreciate NBC trying to save it, but it really is too dark a show for 8PM and Grimm has a steady audience at 9. They advertised the hell out of it, too. Maybe NBCU could shift the show to SyFy?

100% agree — I LOVED this ep of Constantine (and this season in general). It was exciting, freaky, and gory, with just the right amount of humor (like the prisoners' moving away from El Diablo/John and Anne-Marie's nude apparition). And Matt Ryan's performance was just fantastic! Absolutely riveting to watch and

Actually, in hindsight I was shocked at how quickly he told Hank. Most shows would have kept that reveal FAR longer, IMO.
