MS, I had the identical reaction to the Seinfeld finale — it was so bad and left such a sour taste in my mouth that I literally didn't watch a rerun for several years.  Eventually I was able to regain my initial love for the show, but it took a while.

I am honestly surprised by the near-total loathing of this episode.  To say that "Gaga is treated as a saint here" is, IMO, missing the point.  The entire show was a send-up of her (already humorously OTT) persona.  Watching Gaga is like watching a good drag queen — they don't take themselves THAT seriously, while
