i remember very vividly how in the late 80`s/early 90`s all the right wing/neonazi types in my school (i grew up in germany) really really digged depeche mode. Obviously this wasnt depeche modes intent, but it is interesting that they somehow attract this sort of people.

in my opinion progressives lose demographic width by alienating people like Maher or Harris and their followers. Maher is smug and he was way too soft on Milo, but he often makes good points.

without a doubt the big majority of muslims are regular people like you and me, the problem is the ideology. The rise of radical islamism the past 40-50 years needs to be adressed in an adequate and reasonable way, ignoring it (which democrats often do) enables bigots and assholes like Trump and Milo to gain ground.

i dont think that transgender issues were really a dealbreaker, i think its much more problematic that a lot of democrats are having double standards when it comes to islam. in my opinion its simply wrong and possibly stupid to defend the many faults of modern day islam. being critical of islam doesnt mean you hate

Unpleasant as the thought is, it really looks like certain (so called) "progressive" parts of the left are really trying their best to get Trump re-elected, this time with an added popular vote majority. whoever thinks that Maher or Harris are "the problem" is poised to lose again.

well, you think that today is any different to "medieval" times? it is in parts of the world, but in most it isnt… for example:

sociopaths have a strong tendency to be self-destructive. i would argue the opposite, ramsay is one of the most interesting inventions in his books. why? because he uses ramsay to play with our notion of revenge. who didnt wish the worst for theon when he betrayed robb, when he killed and burned those two boys? so,
