I don't think criticism of Dany's Season 2 story line is purely internet revisionist history. Yes it was important for Dany to learn the "you can't rely on anyone else" lesson if she hoped to reclaim the Iron Throne, but the execution was way too drawn out.

Season 3 has one huge advantage over Season 2.
