Ooohh!  So close! They're basically just using the same three chords, albeit in different orders. Whereas Baba O'Riley's root progression is I—>V—>IV, BSE's is IV—>I—>V. Of course, they are nearly identical in rhythm and timbre, so I guess it's infringement.

This show is FANTASTIC. (Sorry, wrong Doctor. Never mind)

Did anyone else notice Ansari breaking character and laughing during the Fabrice Fabrice's confusion about the Ravens? I love that they kept that in there.

I didn't see a clip from Maniac Cop. I mean, they could've just used that entire movie instead.

I swear, nearly every AV Club article contains something like this: "This was when the show was in its earliest days of being a cult hit, when it had yet to pop up on magazine covers but was buzzed about as one of TV’s best shows, if you were cool enough to be able to find it." We get it. You probably liked it before

Redface

Edge of Seventeen steals from the Bring on the Night about as much as using eighth-notes steals from Eleanor Rigby. It's just a single pitch repeated on a guitar, not much of a riff. Of course, the drum beat certainly recalls the opening of Bring on the Night, but you could do that with just about any two rocks songs

Deacon Blues is probably my least favorite song on Aja. How about some love for the title track and freaking WAYNE SHORTER!!

Mime is money.

Apparently, Reznor lacked discipline and couldn't keep a beat.

Police box - not a phone booth (OK, technically a phone booth for police assistance)

I found it dull.

I hope ALL the music is from Arvo Pärt.

Can we get a Matlock opening sequence with Nick Offerman? They're taking requests, right?

This was the only episode where I got up to do other things as it finished, and it was the SEASON FINALE!! I just didn't care. Unfortunately, I did come back in time to see that Chewbacca joke.

Is Berberian Sound Studio's title referencing avant-garde legend Cathy Berberian (wife of Luciano Berio)? If so, this is an automatic must-see.

He's funny, but it's difficult to get over the heavy condescension and the suspicion of exaggeration.

Heaven better save some TEEEEEEEAAAARRRRSSSS!!!!

Next stop: SLAPABAMA!!!
