80s stations do play New Wave, but I usually also here a lot of Prince, various Jacksons, multiple different flavors of hair metal…

apparently you and i don't get invited to the parties where they talk about these things

as usual there's about a dozen comments anticipating their arrival, and only one, presumably offensive, now-deleted comment

Wikipedia on the character Luke from General Hospital:

I think I read somewhere that Kesha is signed directly to Dr. Luke's label, so this doesn't really affect her in a good way, or something. Oh yeah, here it is, maybe you can make sense of this stuff better than I can http://www.slate.com/blogs/…

'80 and '81 were basically still the late-70s. I refer to them as "the Air Supply Years." Thriller changed everything. Pop music was pretty uniformly great from '82 to '88, when we entered the Gloria Estefan Era of Forgotten Pop Culture.

I'm in the exact same category, even married one…we probably go to the same websites and everything

it's like saying "at least reality television gave us The Animal costar Colleen Haskell"
