In the Silver Age comics Barry could do basically anything, including shower in a fraction of a second and run on a beam of light. Later, I want to say in Flash v2 #50, a scientist helping Wally suggests that Barry might not have been entirely human, which I always found satisfying

Sweet! That happened once in the comic, and it wound up being a problem. It was a good story

Well if they're doing Jesse, but there's no Johnny, I'd probably look for Impulse or Max Mercury, or both. Probably not the Tornado Twins, but who knows…

For some reason I'm sadder about the formula

I stopped watching after season one — which, given that I'm a big Flash fan going way back, is a testament to the absolute glut of awesome entertainment we have today, but ANYWAY, is that Jesse Quick in the picture? Is Johnny Quick a thing too? And do they have to say the Speed Formula before they run anywhere?

i…can't argue with any of that

He even took the mic again to say basically exactly that — he saw the card, got confused, was trying to show Faye, but she and everyone misinterpreted it to be an act. (Personally, I misinterpreted it to be senility)

Well, it did, but that was a movie that had a peculiarly high nudity-to-sexiness ratio. IIRC, D'Angelos nude scene happens when she's being rejected by William Katt, so it's quite a bit more depressing than erotic.

I was surprised that they had Prince in there but not Bowie, who was involved with probably about as many films as Prince

I was going to complain that you didn't ask her about Can't Stop the Music or Superman: The Movie, but apparently Beverly D'Angelo is in fact a different person from Valerie Perrine, so this one is on me

Basically all the commentary tracks in their top 5 are novelties — Trey Parker and Matt Stone getting drunk, RDJ staying in character, etc. All the best commentary tracks I've ever seen were on Paul Verhoeven DVDs. Unlike other directors, Verhoeven always focuses on interesting aspects of his film rather than

Maher is tough for me right now, because I do think he's funny and intelligent, and like the article says, there aren't a lot of entertaining atheist voices out there. And I agree with him on a ton of stuff, not least of which is our shared rage about the current administration. But then there's these little cracks,

He didn't look at the camera and ask our opinion, though, which is why that movie was comparatively a box office failure

That was another Danny Elfman theme, right? That guy got around

I thought Little John was supposed to be like a really big guy. Or, you know…a bear.

Agreed, he was basically just giggling about how naughty he was the whole time, and talking really loud

This feels kind of bittersweet, because he's only been ousted from organizations that are still, themselves, completely repugnant, and everything is still terrible everywhere

It's a brand new day and the sun is high
All the birds are singing that you're gonna die

He just did a fawning interview with him, though. I think this whole thing was triggered by the CPAC slot, not the Maher appearance

I'll admit it…the RoguePOTUSStaff one had me going for at least a few days. It's just very believable, 'this is what it's like to work in these conditions' stuff…I found it hard to believe that anyone could be that up on current events, that good a writer, AND that willing to deceive. But it's a big world.
