I kinda agree with you here. Dmitry is very technical and a good craftsman, but I don't see a lot of personality or art in his designs.

I feel the "you're all going to FW" outcome was the result of them loving Christopher so much and wanting him to show, even though he was the clear loser of the four. He took 9K and his mom's x-ray (wow, so personal!) and came up with something I can get at the Zara across the street. His point of view is basically…

The making-of feature on the Elephant dvd is great and really shows how much of a genious this guy was. The way he finds lighting solutions for those long steadycam shots that go from interior to exterior and back inside (the light temperature changes dramatically so you basically have to light the whole school with…

I saw her in God of Carnage (she played the Kate Winslet role if you saw the film) and went to get the cast autographs after the show because I'm a huge nerd and she was so nice! She even chatted for a while. So yeah, huge fan.

It's probably too late if you're reading this, but try to listen to the album before you read the review. Not knowing where the set was going was what made it even better for me and the review spoils a couple of great moments. Go listen to it now!

I don't get the hate for Face/Off either. The bat-shit insane premise (they even cross-transplanted their chest hair!), the cheesy face-touching, the slo-mo flashbacks, the sad-faced magnet-shoes-wearing Cage at his best… It's so incredibly stupid and yet so insanely rewatchable. It's what Michael Bay movies wish they…

But seriously, not only is it the funniest movie of the 90s, it's probably also one of the top 10 musicals ever made. Show me a human person who can't sing at least 3 of those songs.

Not the right Tarantino! was what I was going for.
