My favorite part of this episode was the end, although it was fantastic all the way through and certainly deserving of the grade it was given.  It kind of underlined the main theme of Community, which is that this group of friends, all flawed in some way, come together and feel something special.  The show has

You guys in the comments are overanalyzing this show a little too much for what it's trying to be. It's not supposed to be the complex work of art that you all seem to expect. I know it just won an Emmy, but that's not the show's fault - it was a safe choice for the voters I guess.

I find it kind of funny that people care so much what the Emmys and critics think here. The Emmys have always been flawed. A lot of the time, their picks for winners - and even nominations - don't make sense.

Favorite line:

I completely agree. Not everything has to be the height of comedic intellect or something. It just seems ridiculous to create this bar that all shows should reach and base them off the best comedies currently on TV (Community and Louie, two incredible shows).

Everyone on Modern Family is the way they are for specific reasons, and people forget that with all this talk about "stereotypes". Unlike a lot of sitcoms, the characters of MF have some depth, and that's what makes it more enjoyable. Characters on the show DO act how people act in real life.
