Zack Handlen coming thru with the sly Brothers Solomon reference
Not spoiling it but the actor playing the 'amateur philosopher' in the last paragraph lands that whole motherfucking plane on fire of a scene. It's amazing to watch/hear, and it does get some of its ethos from the cult actor delivering it.
What about in the sentence "Jim Nabors is way cool" ?
Mena Suvari check in after hearing she's in American Woman:
The Fucking Catalina Wine Mixer
"it's not urine, it's probably water from the urinal"
It's been done (TV Funhouse) https://www.youtube.com/wat…
please mention Mr. Show as much as possible
It's cool they worked Arbitage starring Richard Gere into last year's 20th Century Women… that movie was too good and needed taking down a peg…
Let's get some fuckin' FRENCH TOAST
Vernon is the goddamndest and the goddamn greatest: what you aforementioned + the rest of the PFFT output (Heart She Holler was too beautiful for this world) + Louie + the interviews he does on AV Club where he just fucks around and brings this website here to the quivering mess we all know that it really is.
God bless Will Forte for his continued use of 'baby dolls as stand in for babies to demonstrate things'. That whole scene had Brothers Solomon vibes.
I thought we were all in agreement to mention Alex Ross Perry as much as possible?
Nathan Lane did die on Difficult People
was hoping for an all-black cast for this after seeing Donald Glover's name… hard to believe Kevin Hart and Deon Cole aren't available
Some SPORTS for us: Reggie Miller is the worst. Cannot listen to a game he calls, which sucks as he is usually paired with the legend Marv Albert. Reggie relies on cliches, exasperation, and stating the obvious. For new fans, he's pandering. For die-hards, he's just the worst.
I've always liked Wheatley's use of violence, in that when he used it - it was creative, graphic, and real. Sightseers had that tire to the head, Down Terrace had that hammer scene, A Field in England was a slow burn war movie… I'm curious to see what he does here.
Since this is an article about the band's name and this is the AV Club, I'm surprised no one has pointed out that the name is in reference to Shohei Imamura's The Pornographers, a movie I would very much like to watch with Raffi.
Please do all newswire pieces like this.
I went with my then girlfriend and her little sister to see Monster-in-Law; I was pretty checked out but then Will Arnett came on screen (this was 2005 - Peak AD years) and I remember being the only person in the theater laughing at his parts.
