No, I agree with this. This show and The WB were definitely targeting a very, very specific slice of the population: middle class white kids. For a show that featured Joey's sister's "scandalous" relationship with a black man, it rarely featured non-white characters.

Yes, I think the original DVD releases of seasons one and two have the original theme. It switched to "Run Like Mad" in season three, I believe. I'm not sure about the full series set because I don't have that, because no one should ever rewatch season five under any circumstances.

Do you know something I don't know? AM I FIRED???

I keep harping on the Damon stuff this season, mostly because it feels really unsatisfying. In season two, even though Damon's arc was about him becoming a better person for Elena, it still felt like it was about him. This season his stories feel like they're about everyone else but him, even when ostensibly it's his

Yeah, that bugged me. The only thing I could think was that when they snapped Damon's neck somehow the Traveler spell was broken? That's dumb, but it's a reason.

Good talk.

I think Tank is adorable. I would probably love him as Bay's love interest if he was in high school. I just want these high school girls to date high schoolers, darnit!

Toby's greatness is always there, like air.

The Fosters thread!

The Atrian invasion happened 10 years prior (in 2014) so these high school kids have been on Earth since they were about six.

I think the only answer is "The CW."

I actually think the tattoos make them more attractive, so perhaps the whole internment thing will be revealed to be a plot by insecure straight white men who are concerned the Atrians will steal all their ladies?

I cannot think of a worse place to show this pilot than Comic-Con. Episode two might have gone over better.

I definitely think that's what the writers are going for, but living in the present-day South it was hard for me to not feel uncomfortable at times with the way it was so resoundingly not remarked upon.

But it's an ALIEN 16.

He was also Dawson's dad on Dawson's Creek and (in?)famously died because he dropped his ice cream cone while driving, and when he reached for it he got in a crash.

NO I'M REALLY DEVASTATED ABOUT THIS POSSIBILITY

OH NO

Lizzy Weiss said on Twitter that the story is "not going where we think it is" so maybe? That would be a nice swerve.

I actually liked the Jana twist. And then I felt really ashamed.
