@ Cashiers,
I found the storytelling kinda scrappy as well. Nothing wrong with the structure (which I'm assuming was inspired by Boys from the Blackstuff), but they just seemed to be trying too hard, which is a real problem with British TV - we go way too broad way too often.

I'm not a big fan of the show, but the characters are all rather more likeable than anyone in Rules of Attraction (the characters are probably a little less blase about getting raped as well).

I like what I've seen of them (Black Narcissus, Matter of Life and Death, Peeping Tom)… there's a surprising amount of edge in their movies.

Great interview. Nearly as good as last year's one with James Callis.

Loved Brass Eye, but Jam had a little (actually a lot) too much self-indulgent noodling for me. A few funny sketches (the couple who find a house they really want to buy and find themselves having to perform sexually degrading acts for the owner) but on average, no thanks.

Baboons disembowled daily (and twice on Saturday).

+3 points for Peon…

She has to climb K2 before she can inherit the fortune.

The Unborn 3: Gestate Harder

You guys are Kate Hudson? No wonder we all hate you!

A sinister plot? To kill the lead actress and writing staff and replace them with persons of even mild talent?

I saw about half of the first episode. I think it was the lead actress' sense memory that was robotic… weirdly even before the accident.

Wouldn't they abbreviate it to VJJ, or VJJ-X (with added caffienne)?

Hey, I rather enjoyed Charlie's Angels too… and for all my Terminator fatigue, the new movie actually looks like it might actually be significantly different from the original (plus, McG's a pretty good action director; he ain't Cameron, but he's not a complete clown like Mostow).

@ I get nervous…

Well, the room in question is network television.

Miller, it's going to be 4 full length graphic novels, each one adapting a different story (starting with "The Hunter"). The first one's due in the summer.

Reck, that finale was pretty great, but then the BSG finales almost always are, so maybe we shouldn't worry so much.
Guess we'll see soon enough.

AVATAR
The return of James Cameron.

DOLLHOUSE
My most anticipated of the year.
It's been a lean time for Whedon fans (I put his non-comic output for the last 3 years at one 45 minute musical) so it'll be a welcome return…
even if it does get cancelled after 15 episodes.
