Hey Lex, that's not writing… that's typing!

My preferred take on Two-Face is when he's so hideous, they keep his burnt side obscured and only seen in reflections (the comics do a whole lot of this). It's a little arch, but it's probably the best solution.

I loved The Fountain too, but I can certainly see why the average viewer didn't get it.
I'm not too sure what excuse critics or awards juries can have though. The savaging the film got in the British press very nearly put me off seeing it (mostly 1 star reviews, with a couple of twos), in spite of really liking (if

He shoots tallow from his fingertips!

I heard UK film reviewer Mark Kermode talking about Carpenter a while back, and apparently Carpenter is well aware that all the stuff he does now is shit.
I'm not sure if this makes me respect him more or less. Probably less.

Another bad thing with Crystal Skull is that it's given me a lifelong fear of turbo-ants.

Fronting it with a disclaimer that I have an increasingly unhealthy Ellen Page obsession, I'll state that Smart People, while not a great movie (or even a good one), is not one of the year's 17 worst films.
The character turns are heavyhanded, and it's pretty unoriginal (being in the thrall of Noah Baumbach & Wes

"Zero the Hutt"?!! What the hell?! Is he a fat-free alternative to Jabba?

@Pilgrim. Couldn't have put it better myself.

It's from his audition for Heroes.

Americans de-spaniolated your roomie? That's just plain sinister.

Sorry Bettany, sarcasm detector's in the shop.
In fairness to myself, I have seen genuine comments praising the sexiness of said scene. You'll find at least a few dozen in the Rocketeer MYOF entry.

Regardless of whether you were turned on by it or not, Reqiuem in no way qualifies as "hubba hubba".

Don't be depressed people! Sure this film sucks, but we can't ever give up hope.

At least they didn't get The Rock to play Gort.

You should hear it in the original French.

Hold your horses ZMF. The year ain't over yet, and there's a little something called "Nothing But The Truth" still to come (Kate Beckinsale's a fiesty reporter, Matt Dillon's a CIA operative, and the mind behind Commander-in-Chief writes and directs).

Actually AdmiralNeck, through sheer number of words alone, is convincing me to give this show a second chance. My brother has the DVDs so I'll see… although that does require finding some time in my goddamn schedule.

Would Brian Blessed's interview be in all-caps… like ZMF's posts?

@Southofheaven… something tells me that allowing criminals to decide their own punishment isn't going to be conducive in the long term.
