I would like to begin a petition to add "Alice in Wonderland" onto the list of creative endeavors that should never be adapted again. However, I then want to send it into the past into Tim Burton's hands, and spare the world this.

Its their obsession with gotcha journalism spending about 20% of their time writing about the New York Times writing bullshit stories, which is just an accepted fact, and rooting out plagiarists and writing 1000-2000 word articles shaming them. I'm all for catching professional plagarism but its a little ridiculous.

Its what happens when the most respected voices of their respective parties are rehashing the same rhetoric. I'm glad we can agree on bullshit gimmicks, alternatively pretending they are a social trend that has developed or a sign of the way things have become.

The biggest problem isn't that he's lazy (which he is). It's that most of the time he relies on some bullshit about telling it like it is or just helping people out and bringing people back to good ole common sense.

Admittedly, I didn't see "A Serious Man," but I just didn't see anything that I thought even the Academy could slobber all over. The movies that I liked from this year ("Bronson," "House of the Devil") had no way in hell of being nominated, much less winning an award. I generally just wasn't impressed by anything.
