Me too. I didn't think Sherlock did anything "Holmesian" at all. He figured out the motive for destroying the fossil, and he had a contact who could point him to the smuggler in the first place, but there wasn't much else. My favorite part of Sherlock Holmes is when he notices all kinds of minute details and puts them

re: "billion dollar"
The auctioneer said it was worth seven figures, maybe eight. So around $10 million?

I came here to complain about the realism as well, but for a different reason. (Comic-Con doesn't sell out that fast; it took an hour and a half last year). Then I remembered this was a tv show and realism isn't top of the list.

But it is the title of the episode that bubba912 is referencing. "Meat Natalie"? Ugh.

Fries are chips
Chips are crisps
Cookies are biscuits
Biscuits are scones (more or less)
Jello is jelly
Jelly is jam
Pies are tarts
Pot pies are pies or meat pies

I feel the same way when my brother reaches for the hot sauce. He's old enough to know that he will always want his food to be spicier than it is served. I don't expect him to taste it first and make a judgment. He knows he likes it spicy. I know I like it salty. Get over it.

Pepper is one of the big mysteries to me. How did that one spice come to be the companion to salt? Salt is universal; pepper is just one of a hundred different spices. And yet most Americans see them as inseparable. "Saltandpepper"? Why not salt and cumin? Or salt and coriander? Or even just salt?

Yeah, but she was pretty much perfect as Tasty Coma Wife on Scrubs.

Solid sitcom writing. I approve.

Worst cops ever. "So Scully, do you have a picture of Kelly? We'd love to see." Boom, solved.

Briga Heelan's ass is truly amazing. That shot of her by the love dumpster was phenomenal. I haven't found a screenshot yet, but this one does her justice.

And the origin of the later (but still archaic) "Zounds!"

They LITERALLY cut to commercials every 90 seconds?

The point of the MXs is that they don't have humanity. They are walking toasters (no offense to the Cylons out there) and if they have any instinct for self-preservation it is just to save the tax-payers money and not waste resources.

Not quite. The MX suggested that the bullet went through the window (1), ricocheted off the floor, hit a bystander's computer screen (2), ricocheted again, and killed the victim (3). Dorian said that it was more likely that the bullet hit the window, then TURNED in the air (hitting the screen), completed the turn and

Haha, that's the same spot i gave up as well.

Do you mean Selma Terwilliger-Hutz-McClure-Stu-Simpson-D'Amico (née Bouvier). She also almost married Apu, but didn't want to add his name to her long list of hyphenates. I'd wager that Selma has had more love interests than almost any other Simpson's characters (maybe Bart beats her out).

I wouldn't describe the cafeteria as being set up for eight different dishes — and certainly there wasn't the intent that the chefs should create a single eight-course meal. If the cafeteria is set up like any of the campuses where I have worked, the eight different stations are usually serving different cuisines or

Of course she did. That's how they knew Meg had been there.

Allison Janney's physical work when she was woken up from the couch was just phenomenal.
