People get this one wrong all the time. "Nonplussed" actually means "surprised, confused, or perplexed, often to the point of being unable to act". I don't think that's what you are going for.

I agree that psychic invisibility is most plausible. But in Alphas didn't the doctor speculate that it had to do with swelling the optic nerve to create a literal blind spot? Of course that was just a guess but it seemed strange.
