Haven't played it but from what I have read they followed the same cash-grab financing style as LoL where players have to buy heroes to unlock them instead of having all heroes available for everyone like DOTA2 does.

Man, if you are going to get into a MOBA start with DOTA2 not LoL. Don't get yourself hooked on the genre with a game that milks you for cash and has a terrible pay-to-win model. DOTA2 has a complete separation between the cosmetics (that cost money) and the rest of the game (that is 100% free). Get DOTA2 on Steam and

On first impression I felt that way about all the quest hubs in the WoW xpacs, but the reality is it is just as linear. Go here; get all quests; complete all quests; follow the delivery quest to new quest hub. You get the illusion of diverse options - but to me the pattern was too blatant.

I haven't gotten into any serious PVP yet, but the combat system from a PVE perspective is great. Very responsive, active, and challenging. It has a crisp execution of every skill, and (atleast for my class - templar) a good mix of baseline moves with "oh crap" buttons to mix it up, along with alternative moves for

P.S. - for such a beautiful game (and such talk of its beauty) you sure picked the WORST picture possible to highlight that. An angry bear monster with laser eyes? Really?

Huge MMO fan
I have been enjoying Aion so far, it can get a little grindy at times, but nothing that isnt relieved by some group quests, dungeons, or crafting. I am glad to see AVclub giving them some positive press.

I cannot believe not a single mention of FARK. I waste so much time reading that site. Color me suprised.

but where else are kids gonna learn that John Wayne was a fag?

Sorry, but I am a huge reader of books and online newspapers and I have to say the idea of the newspaper bores the hell out of me. Some would say it is lack of attention span, but I personally think it is simply more convenient to read online news sources. I can have multiple windows open on different sites at the

Not sure if your talking about the reliving-your-life theme book "Replay" by Ken Grimwood mbs but that book was very good and messed me up for a couple days after I finished it. I was amazed that it didn't pull any punches on its theme and really laid bare the possibilities of human love and interactions and what

The only way this would be worth the cost of its original price is if we could set up some serious torrent/bootleg scanned book websites. Just gonna throw this idea out there for the internet to get to work on it: Crack the code, scan your books, upload to torrent, Kindle will be huge.

Ya, add another vote for amazing live. If you get the chance, dont pass it up.

YES!!!! The Body, The Blood, The Machine is one of the best albums of all time. So glad to see a new album from them.

Huh?
"Vivian Girls morphs from a work of nosebleed pop into something icy and numbing."

Hell yeah!
I grew up playing 1 and 2 and had HUGE expectations for this game. Fallout 3 matched and exceeded them by far. Personally I think the opening sequenceto this game is the absolute best tutorial/character creation episode ever made. Once you finish growing up and get your first look at the devastated world

Hmm…
Ah.

It's alright
Just a few months ago we got comcast on demand at my work and one of the movies you can select for free was Bio-Dome. So I decided I would turn it on every single day for a month, and see how much people hated it by the end. Oddly enough, about half way through my experiment people seemed to start really

God allows evil to exist because without evil we would all live in perfect harmony and their would be no freedom of choice. Freedom of choice requires two choices, not perfection. Hence, god gave us evil.

Meet Peter Lance…the wildest, sexiest, most supersecret agent ever!

I'd learn Icelandic just so I could actually understand an awesome band like Sigur Ros.
