Good John Prine reference to an infinitely superior song than this pap. It's unclear to me how well known is the Prine. Informal survey: who's heard of Prine? Who's friends are familiar with Prine?

I listened the fuck out of this album when I was 16, but it sure didn't hold up in the long run like, say, One Foot in the Grave. For this Beck fan, it's his neo-Dylan folk stylings or nothing. (Notable exception: Mutations)

RUDD
…is both eye-pleasing and charming. He is Grandmaster Flash is right, though: comedic leading roles are for the weirdos and dramatic leading roles are for the 'dangerous' guys. Rudd is neither.
