An ex-roommate of mine once posted a personal ad "I'm a real tomato just looking for a spud boy."

I was happily not thinking that until now.

Then my hometown has been lying to me my whole life. I wouldn't be surprised.

There were a couple of drummers up there and we got "Funky Drummer" at the top as it should be.

I'm sure this is mentioned elsewhere but I don't think I can stomach the bad puns that surely abound here but four periods do indeed make a proper ellipsis. It signals a full stop after the missing thing(s) and is used when a three period ellipsis would otherwise extend to eternity. Apparently whatever follows Mooo

Wrong town. Barnum was born in Delavan, WI.

It survived your casserole when my stomach didn't.

Where?!

…not to make friends"

Which ending? It better be the original cut.

No one likes humble braggers.

Surely anyone willing to give Mike Huckabee the clap is going to want to get it over as quickly as possible.

I'd watch that and laugh every week. Who's he going to take down with him this time? And why would they get in a car with him?

At the Sycamore? That wasn't there when I lived there. What street is it on? Was that in one of the old mansions on Walworth Ave.?

The old movie theater was split into a twin. When it finally closed a church moved in. I think Barnum would have appreciated that as well. Last time I went through town it was vacant and the bank was no longer a bank which I suppose is appropriate at a time when the Ringling Bros./Barnum and Bailey Circus is closing.

Won't anyone think about the evil children?

P.T. Barnum was born in my hometown. The historical marker for his place of birth was in front of a parking lot that served a bank and a movie theater. He would have been proud.

It does. And the movie's not bad either although the sculpture doesn't look remotely like anything Michaelangelo would have made.

Oh sure. That was the dog.
