So very happy to see not one, but 2 dongs! Finally! Almost makes up for the fact that every woman character except Bonny has shown their tits. Surprised that they didn't show us hers this episode. I don't insist on a 1-to-1 ratio, but it was appropriate and much appreciated to throw us ladies a bone (or 2). I agree

I think all three of them were in love with each other and having a groovy polyamorous relationship

Just gotta say that it's tiring that everyone seems to want to find something to compare this show against, whether it be the books mentioning the Yellow King, other shows or movies. Why not just take it as it is? Maybe it's because I don't watch any of those shows and don't care how they relate to this one because

They weren't children of the dead sheriff. They were grandchildren of Sam Tuttle, and at least Errol was Billy Lee Childress's son. My impression from the former housekeeper was that Sam Tuttle had a taste for virgins and all of his illegitimate offspring were taken care of and given the last name Childress (or one

I didn't find any humor until this last episode. Laughed out loud to the "scented meat?" and "don't ever change"

"Nic Pizzolatto: … What was more interesting to me is that both these men are left in a place of deliverance, a place where even Cohle might be able to acknowledge the possibility of grace in the world. Because one way both men were alike in their failures was that neither man could admit the possibility of grace. I

Yeah, they did find birth record of Billy Lee, born in the 40s.
And, they didn't necessarily have to cover up birth certs if there weren't any to begin with. All these kids could've been born to the young virgins they held captive at their numerous properties. Then buried in their cemeteries where they have landscaping

Yes, in the reflection in the window, I thought he totally looked like the Jesus pictures you see everywhere- white, long-haired and bearded Jesus in white robe, hand near his chest. It was blurry enough not to see the blackened eye.

Cohle opined that after he broke in to Tuttle's houses and stole the evidence that Tuttle would have expected to be blackmailed over it. If so, Tuttle would warn the rest of the group about it. Cohle theorized that the group got rid of him to continue the silence and coverup. But official story was suicide I think.

The old lady mentioned Sam Tuttle, who liked virgins only. He had lots of kids from different women and I got the impression that he cared for all of them by giving them the last name Childress (she also mentioned another surname similar to Ledoux). Errol was his grandson and his father is the one who scarred him-

What about the other 2 hours?

"Nic Pizzolatto: Okay. This is really early, but I'll tell you (it's about) hard women, bad men and the secret occult history of the United States transportation system." Not necessarily railroads, could be the way highways are set up or trucking or waterways or…

cool interview, thanks for link

I would've liked a little more on the significance of the stick figures and the rituals

I think when Marty went to visit her in ep. 7, she had a picture of her and another guy on the mantle. I think she's remarried. I think she was wearing the ring when she visited Cohle too.

Yeah, especially when they were showing his reflection in the hospital window, total jesus christ pose. I think they wanted those connotations but I choose to believe it's a universal love connection thing.

I had closed captioning on, he said 'priest'

and he'll be useful backup when going against the bad guys. Wasn't the boss in the ep. 8 preview shooting a rifle?

Holy crap that is creepy, wonder what the outcome of that case was.

Tuttle died in 2010
