Like all white people, I'm part Cherokee. That counts as Inuit, right?

You obviously didn't read/view the Nick Offerman interview yesterday if you think those two things are mutually exclusive.

I'm suddenly (middlingly) interested in reading "The Corrections" now.
I originally read the headline as saying that someone named Even Meredith from "The Office" was now looking for work.
I'm calling them filler because, to me, that seems nicer than calling them cringe-worthy songs. I didn't mean to imply that they were intended solely to pad out the album.
You said there were bananas here?
You're welcome!
I have to disagree. The problem isn't that Up is underrated, it's that everyone acts like all of the songs are as bad as the album is as a whole. There are some beatiful songs on there. But, a lot of the album is just embarrassing filler. This is coming from someone whose favorite REM album was Up for awhile.
Nowadays,…
And, acorns grow to mighty trees.
"Feeling Gravitys Pull" is one my all-time favorite REM songs. There is just something hypnotic and disorienting about that orchestra part.
@Prole Hole, I think I might know the version you are talking about. I downloaded it years ago on Napster, where it was labeled as being by Radiohead and REM. It's pretty much just Stipe singing over a keyboard. It sounds very un-REM but great nonetheless!
I always felt that Belong, Half A World Away, Texarkana, and Country Feedback made a perfect "suite" of songs.
I used to work in Chicago and actually passed Corgan on the street once. It was the late 90s (or maybe early 00s) and he was wearing one of those bucket hats, like frat boys used to wear to summer festivals. I didn't realize it was him until he had passed. Ever since then, I can't hear anything about him without…
There is (or was) a video on YouTube of a local newscast of Stipe (before he was famous) talking about how much he loved Rocky Horror.
Wrong. Kiddie choir directors were using kiddie choirs before kiddie choirs were cool. Also, eww!
@sick tats brah, kiefer is easily my favorite (and the most quotable) character on that show. I could never stand to spend any real time with him, but I love to watch him torture everyone around him for 15 minutes a week.
I'm sorry. What were we talking about again?
I'm a Spiritualized fan and I kinda have to agree. The best part of "Ladies & Gentlemen" is the packaging. Musically, I have never understood the big deal with that album. I much prefer "Lazer Guided Melodies."
To answer Bill's question: No, I don't find Laurie's and Travis' relationship to be creepy. Of course, I might be biased since my wife and I are eight years apart. In fact, we got married when I was 29 and she was 21 (my wife always said she was robbing the grave). The difference in ages doesn't matter, it's the…
