It's obvious and trite?

Also for anyone looking for more experimentalLee, if you can find East Jesus, pick it up. It's a compilation of solo stuff and far-out guitar noise. Really great.

Liked for Fuck Buttons icon. Just got Slow Focus this week and it's crusher.

Just saw MBV this week and I gotta say, Swans still holds the crown. I wore earplugs at both shows but Swans was the only one that left my ears ringing the whole next day.

What are you talking about, that's a sick burn

No way, that's poetry.

Nah, that actually confirms my instincts.

Lol someone else remembers Bardo Pond exists

I've been wanting to hear that record for the longest time. I usually like the records everyone else hates, and anything Pitchfork rates 0.0 has to be hearing at least once.

I wish to hell I hadn't sold my vinyl copies of Experimental, Jet Set, Trash and No Star and Washing Machine. I think the only reason I got rid of WM was because I really hated what is probably the worst lyric in their entire ouevre: "Time takes its crazy toll."

I like 20th Century. I tried 5 but eh, Kim is less interesting as a noise musician by herself to be honest. 7 is ok but nothing unforgettable.

They aren't as loud as Swans.

Got my copy of DN in 1989, in the cutout bin of a Strawberries, for $3.99. It still has the notch on the top corner.

I say start with the Super Crunch Chicken Strips.

"Wish Fulfillment" is probably my favorite Lee track.

Saw it in Hartford, Connecticut. Don't remember the crowd reaction but I remember them closing with Cotton Crown and Thurston tossing his guitar over the sage.

It's funny listening to stuff like Rather Ripped or Sonic Nurse now, how clearly those songs are about Thurston and Kim's breakup. So many allusions to relationships going stale and new liasions. "Sneakin around / what will the neighbors say"

The other thing I love about Kool Thing is it's an answer to Walking With A Panther, and possibly the greatest answer record this side of Sweet Home Alabama.

Vote Quimby!

I still think Grace and Karen should have hooked up.
