Carnivorous Danus There are plenty of ways to be confrontational which don't entail being a disruptive jerk without any regard for others. There have been protests against plenty of films and performers over the years - both Dogma and Passion of the Christ for example - and even those religious nutbars have the

Carnivorous Danus  Also, whenever one gets into discussions of offensive material, you have to consider that everyone has a different definition of whats offensive and EVERYTHING is offensive to someone. You may be offended by Tosh, but there are people who are offended by Louis CK, Patton Oswalt, hell, even Pee Wee

Carnivorous Danus  There are legitimate ways to protest without harassing other people. I detest this notion that protesting something gives you the right to be a complete and utter asshole.

I'm a bit late, but I'm going to have to agree with @Dropkick_Duffy:disqus on this one. Why do so many people despise Walt for being an immoral creep, but then are totally fine with Gus, who is 1000x worse than Walt. I can see you could argue Gus is more likable even if he is more immoral (which is how I feel about

Yeah, I myself got a homosexual vibe from Gus after that intimate dinner he and Walt had…but I thought that maybe that was just some latent homophobia or macho-ism on my behalf (i.e. if two guys have dinner together, they must be gay). I'm glad to know it wasn't just me thinking that and that there are some

Wait, is it agreed upon that Gus is gay? I always thought he seemed a bit effeminate or fey, but I never saw it as a topic the show broached.

xolotl The initial trip could take place because there is no initial jump - time isn't linear, but on a continuous plane. It doesn't make sense if you think of time as occurring linearly from point A to B, but if you think of time as occurring all at once simultaneously, it does make sense. Think of past, present and

What? Timecrimes is one of the only logically consistent time-travel movies I've seen. The problem is that we often think of time as linear, but in a movie like Timecrimes (and for the concept of time travel to make sense in the first place), time is occuring on a plane or loop as opposed to a linear progression.

E.Buzz Miller Never seen a reaction like it before, eh? A vast majority of the shows, movies and music I like are trashed mercilessly on AV Club, including Weezer, Two and a Half Men, and Adam Sandler movies. You innocuously mention you like one of these things and you get people bashing you as some lobotomized cretin.

Mike From Chicago  He was really close to his parents and incredibly sensitive about their death, so he probably hates this site with a passion.

Good question. For me, it depends on the film and on which specific cut is better regarded. For Blade Runner, the consensus was that the Final Cut was the best version and I went with that. For Apocalypse Now, the consensus was that the theatrical cut was the best version and I went with that.

There's nothing dumb about hating Skylar. I'm surprised at how so many of these "white knights" on here crying about misogyny don't understand the distinction between the character's actions and their likability.

"No, you go to hell, and while you're there, why don't you grab me a juicebox!"

Why does everyone call this guy Nugent? His last name is Dyess-Nugent. I just scoured Google for 5 minutes looking for a feud between this lady and Ted Nugent.
