Thanks for the West Wing, and hooray for News Radio coming back.

Skyler's thing
Ok… so maybe this has been mentioned, but I was re-watching last week's episode, and when I left off reading these comments, my general impression was that the consensus around here was sort of "what the fuck is the point of this Beneke accounting thing". After watching it, I think Ted's lines about,

I am drinking a mothership wit right now. Most excellent beer from an excellent brewery. They deserve all of the hip points they can get from a Breaking Bad shout out.

No, but she was wicked hot, so, you let these things go.

Tracer Bullet. Excellent.

minor plot point, I'm sure…
What do you think was going on with Skinny Pete talking about that wicked coffin for Combo? Was it being inferred that Jessie splashed our for it? Maybe not. I can't imagine that it's important.

Yeah, I've read them all I think, and I enjoyed them, but certainly they are a guilty kind of pleasure. His plots are really quite formulaic. Really hot girl has incredible sex with strange, kooky man who has bizarre theories and a overwhelming amount of arcane knowledge. I think this might be why they appeal to

Doesn't Odysseus' wife (Penelope?) weave and unweave a tapestry every night to delay the suitors? This probably doesn't have any relevance.

Season 6
Assuming that the bomb goes off, and it does, as Daniel says, make it so that everyone lands happily in LA. Here's how season six goes down:

I was kind of hoping
I was actually hoping that we could get a "Classic" TV blog on this show. Oh well…,

Yummish: I was wondering about that last night too, trying to imagine the science in which a hydrogen bomb could somehow counteract electromagnetic ways. Then my friend told me that, no, basically they are just going to blow the island the fuck up.

Maybe it does, I don't know, but does shooting a barrel of gasoline really make it explode? My experience in video games would suggest so… but otherwise?

Yeah, but I'm thinking sickness. Maybe Smokey was over there messing with the Ajira survivors, and that's why he didn't come when Ben summoned him. Can Smokey leave the main island though?

So they can clean it.

The end reveals.
Haven't they changed a lot this season. I remember when the final moment of every episode was some sort of cliffhanger, big surprise, or even just something that was surprising to us, the audience. Now, (with the notable exception of last week's Ben-shooting), the last "LOST" moment seems to be

The king stay the king.

I think that it's a little unfair to criticize Sayid's eventual capture as "predictable" since they've been showing him in handcuffs for the last three episodes.

I love the work of Mr. Folds, but…
This is why nobody buys music anymore.
