I don't think it matters because I don't believe Lindelof has a rudder. I think he's clever enough to touch upon interesting ideas, but I don't think he has any idea how to navigate or resolve anything, which is why Lost, Prometheus, Tomorrowland, World War Z, etc. have potential but ultimately squander it.

Although likely for the same reason that whole turkey sales go down after Thanksgiving.
