I also enjoyed her talking into Michelle's boobs.

Huh, I'm glad to know this.  I thought she was doing a random Carol Channing (by way of Pandora Boxx?) impersonation.  It cracks me up every time Ru says it.

I'm right there with you.  I may have flapped my hands a little.

Agreed!

Anytime I hear someone say "dummy," I think of Dennis Duffy.

I came away with the same thought, and was feeling disappointed by it, like "oh, so she was evil all along?" and that felt like a cop-out.  But after a lovely sleep that was not haunted by that documentary footage of Briarcliff, no not at all, I have to say I agree with Toasterland below.

Yeah.  As a general celebrity, I find him boorish and obnoxious, but he is perfection on this show.

YES.  My two favorite scenes from the show are that one, and the morning-after recap of Kenneth's party, which had gone horribly awry.

"Damn it, Johnny! You know how I love my big beef and cheddar!"

I was looking forward to watching this, and was forewarned about the gore/violence, but I just can't deal with it.  I normally have no issues with violence and serial killers in my fictional escapes, but this is just way too bleak and gruesome.  I actually thought, with the dog scene (shudder), "I don't need this."

I read the Carrie Diaries book (and just found out there's a second one, which I must read) and found it sweet, and am enjoying the show. I've been trying to remember what happened in the book, or who was in it (aka, Dorrit), and am drawing a complete blank.

Me too.  It's charming!

I'm glad to see a few people pointed that out in the comments.  Yeesh.

I laughed very hard; a delightful little surprise of a joke.

I am sad to see that Alicia's "Oh, it's Godot!" line when the phone rang in the business center didn't get a mention in the Stray Observations section.

And please tell me he was full of shit when he said he was some dude in Anthony Bourdain's book.  Pleeeeeease tell me he was lying.

Yeah.  As much as I hate the WTFness of the way they wrapped up the Samantha storyline, that damned ending makes me cry every time.

I loved that book.  Lurid and far from perfect, but I couldn't put it down.
