Oasis by a country mile. Blur had a lot of very, very good albums but never reached the PERFECTION of "Definitely Maybe" or "Morning Glory." The late-90's/ early 00's is the only era that Blur was questionably the better band. But as others have said, Oasis finished strong.

YES. MURRAY POWER. EPISODE ONE POWER. MAUL POWER. FACE THE MENACE. I've been maintaining the opinion for YEARS that "Phantom Menace" is superior to "Jedi." The ONLY good scenes in "Jedi" are the Luke/ Vader ones in the last act. Everything before that ranges from OK to garbage. Harrison Ford's CAREER-WORST

    This must be truly awful
if the AV Club is only rubber-stamping it with an A minus. Did you guys forget it was Chris Nolan??? You like him…A LOT.

    Uh
    "Rapey"

    No, no…
…silly A.V. Club. Tim Burton's 'Alice in Wonderland' is EASILY one of the worst films ever made. I don't think I've ever been more bored in a movie theater. And don't say it was visually innovative. It wasn't beautiful and it wasn't imaginative. Gilliam's 'Doctor Parnass' (not a great film either, but far

    wait wait wait
So what's the difference between the directors of 'Marmaduke' and 'Inception'? Both guys have made one good film each ('Shanghai Noon' and 'Memento,' respectively). So…a clanging Hans Zimmer score?

It should be noted that Liam's lyrics for "Songbird" - yes, a song he done wroted all by himself - contains some of the best lyrics the band ever put out.

    SCOBIAS!
So pleased to see the love/ appreciation for Fraser. So pleased and so surprised. You may win me over yet.

    I wish Tobias
would just come out and tell us whether he enjoys the work of director Oliver Stone! He exhibits such restraint and nuance in his various reviews of and references to the once-acclaimed director! Throw us a bone here! What do you REALLY think?

"Hong Kong" is probably my favorite Gorillaz song. But I think it's on one of the "Help" albums. Is "Hongkongaton" something different?

    It seems impossible
for Damon Albarn to make a bad album. It also seems impossible for him to make a great one. Although I consider 'The Good, The Bad & The Queen" album to be the best thing he's done since "Think Tank," or maybe even "The Great Escape."

I'd say "Be Here Now" is their last classic studio album - despite the mostly awful production. But then 'Definitely Maybe' isn't exactly the best produced album in the world either. And the previously mentioned songs - as well as "All Around the World" in my opinion; one of Noel's best melodies! - are really

    THANK YOU
For including "The Masterplan." I was halfway through scrolling down the 2nd page muttering to myself about the A.V. Club's anti-Oasis basis (almost Pitchfork-ian on a bad day) when mine eyes saw the glory. And although I am really -truly! - appreciative of its appearance on here (although it would have been

Every update on this project seems worse and tackier than the last one. Oh well, GENERATION NEXT.
