Is he supposed to be this one-dimensional though? He's just pure evil. Even Cersei, who's pretty bad, got some character development and some insight into why she's like that. Joffrey is just a fucken little prick, with nothing else to him.

Speaking of Littlefinger going to Renly, how did he know to go there? It shows that the King's Landing folks know that Catelyn is currently with Renly, which is interesting. The Lannisters really need some allies, and must be getting desperate, which is why I wonder if Tyrion really is going to marry his niece to…
@Kumagoro:disqus I agree with your post, except that Gendry will never be the rightful heir, because he's a bastard. According to the rules, if it's widely accepted that Cersei's kids are not actually Robert's, the lineage would be Stannis, then Stannis' male non-bastard kids (which he currently does not have), then…
You mention Jaime not being fit, which I don't necessarily agree with, but it reminded me of something else. Jaime is in the Kingsguard, right? And the Kingsguard is like the Night's Watch in that they give up all their hereditary rights to land, right? So does that mean that Tyrion is actually the current heir to…
The other thing that could happen if she hears two versions is that she simply thinks that Tyrion is fucking with the small council, playing them against each other. She doesn't necessarily come to the conclusion that the reason for playing them against each other is to see which one is loyal to her. In fact, why…
Jaime didn't mean for him to marry the whore; he just wanted to help him lose his virginity. Tyrion went overboard and proposed after he slept with her. She kind of did betray him, since she screwed all the guards. Unless she had no choice about that, but from what I recall Tywin offered her a shitload of money and…
If they do end up having a consummation scene with her and Joffrey, I imagine that'll be pretty horrible. He's such a sadistic bastard, I'm sure he'll bring that into the bedroom. He'll at least play mind games, and probably worse.
To be fair, she didn't act like a whore even in the camp. Remember the truth-telling game, and the way she told him to never speak of her parents? She always acted like more than just a whore. AND she implied that she's not doing it for money, either. So she has some other reason to be there.
I saw somewhere that the dude who played Dany's douchebag brother is in the new Masterpiece production of Great Expectations. But the thing that was really cool about that is that Dickens is his great-uncle! How awesome is that?
Even if Stannis does impregnate the priestess, that child would be a bastard. A child born within Renly's marriage would be heir over Stannis' bastard. And over Robert's bastards too.
But why is that a big deal? If I was friends with a wolf, I would say Hi to it when it went by. I would pet it too, if it would let me!!!
But if she was in Jess' room, how come Jess said "Nick only has one tie, see if you can find it"?
She doesn't seem to want to turn him straight. She just wants him to do it with her enough to make a baby. I wonder if she'll want to play around on the side though, because that's kind of a shitty deal for her. Although they don't seem to have birth control, so she probably can't risk having a bastard.
A slightly used fake may have accidentally implicated other people. And depending how things went down with those other people, might have ended up throwing suspicion on the chip anyway.
I don't know, I still don't mind the episodes of the week. Remember there was an article maybe a month ago about how serialized shows have ruined episodic tv? I think that's true. Everyone's upset with this show for not moving the bigger story along, when they could just be enjoying the episodes.
I thought a smuggler was just someone who brought in illegal goods. They weren't necessarily stolen, but they're not allowed to come into the country. Like drug smugglers bringing drugs from Colombia to North America. They paid for the drugs, now they're bringing them in, which is illegal.
@avclub-d0cf409eb912cc0cc950b41b6d892d07:disqus I guess that could be true, although it's not all that clear. Still seems like it would be worth it to try to take off rather than stay there and risk being tortured/killed by some sadist.
@avclub-9ce04591654645426079a7c2faa385e4:disqus I never said you were wrong. I just find it annoying that one guy makes a comment about Martin not being good looking/overweight, and he's told not to body snark. But at least a dozen people were making fun of that actress, and no one says a thing. I would have said…

I didn't even consider that they were eating them. Valid option, though.
