Hahahahah.  I know, I was trying to think of a good reason while typing my response, and couldn't really think of one.  I guess we've seen a good reason in this very show… the witch who messed up Dany's son so that he couldn't be the stallion who mounts (and presumably rapes and/or kills) the world.  From her point of

In the previous episode, that same daughter/wife said that little speech about "our husband keeps us safe".  I'm sure he's been drilling that idea into their heads to ensure they can't turn on him.  It's unclear how much of the details they know.

Here's another thought…. is Arya going to find her direwolf?  Remember she let him go in the woods on the way south, and presumably they're taking the same road back north.  That would be kickass if the Goldcloaks come again for Gendry and her wolf just comes out of nowhere and decimates them.

Anyone else think Melisandre's going to get it on with Davos' son as well?  Seems like she uses sexuality as a recruitment tool for her religion.

Can't she just leave?  She's not a slave.  I don't get why she stays.

He's basically along as a servant, helping with the wagons and stuff, isn't he?  Makes sense that they'd need people like that along for the ride.

I guess that's the thing.  If you're following someone who you trust, and you agree with his moral code, then you will do things for him without question.  Although, the kind of person who would kill a baby without even needing to know the reason is probably not the kind of person I would want to surround myself with.

I think if he were killed, though, the women would no longer be safe from whatever's roaming around out there (white walkers, for sure, and perhaps other things).  So they can't kill him if they want to survive.  They're apparently fucked once he dies though.

I thought it was Rakharo because her main female servant was so messed up about it, and those two seemed to have a thing going on.

Not disagreeing about the fact that he doesn't seem all that honourable, but for the cheating on his wife part, I got the impression that he found her repulsive anyway, not just because she's sick.  And in this world, you can't really blame people who don't like their spouse because they often don't have all that much

Yeah, Ned only backed Stannis because it was the correct line of inheritance.  Not because of anything he valued in the man himself.  In fact he seemed to agree that he wouldn't be that great of a king.

I'd say Sam's already in love with that girl.  Did you see his face when she called him brave?  He'll do anything for her now, including risking his life and possibly his friends' lives to get her out of there.

They didn't leave it all out.  She said she always thought her dad's cabin was like a palace when she was small, and "now look at it" and she looks around it.  And then later she said her father's going to punish her after he finds out what Theon did, which to me implied she was a virgin before.  They didn't make it

Yeah, they said Stannis had Davos' fingers cut off, but still, he obviously became buddies with him after.  So that statement still holds true.

@avclub-9ce04591654645426079a7c2faa385e4:disqus If you care so much, go yell at all the people making fun of the boat chick's boobs.  Talk about body snarking.

I thought of that too, but maybe he just doesn't give one single shit about what happens to them after he dies.  Either that, or maybe he figures that so many of them are pregnant at any given point, that it's likely that when he dies a few of them will have sons already percolating and he won't be around to hand them

I wonder what they're doing with them though.  Something horrible, I assume, but what?  The girl seemed to know, since she was absolutely terrified.  Just killing them is bad, but a lot of killing happens in this world, so it wouldn't be all that shocking to them.

My husband made the point that she's not a slave though.  Can't she just leave?  He doesn't actually own her, she came to King's Landing of her own accord.  I would leave if my boss threatened to kill me, that's for damn sure.

You mean Davos and his son, right?  Where they met the pirate?  Was Dragonstone in the background on one of the other islands too?

What they really need is a Lady Chatterly show.  Yowza!
