It's better than SOTU. I may not agree with all their stylistic decisions, but I'm at least happy they finally committed to the whole Berlin techno/Kompakt influence that they've been half-assedly toying with for a decade.
I went to a KW show in 1997, and they had two frisking lines for entry - the men's line stretched around the block. There were six women in the women's line.
I don't think it's you, honestly. Music's and the culture around it have both changed a lot. Remeber when they wouldn't play "I Want Your Sex" on the radio? 10 years after that Trent Reznor is fucking us like animals on MTV. What once was edgy isn't anymore. Stuff that was on the "cutting edge" never tends to age…
It's funny becasue a lot of these bands are still around. Skinny Puppy has a new album coming out in a few months.
The very same girls still go to TKK shows. They're just in their late 30's now and have to get home in time to pay the sitter.
My lord Coil was a great band. The Coil vs eLpH "Protection EP" was one of the great moments in mid-90's techno.
Who's your favorite cock?
I still have hearing damage from the last KFMDM show I saw.
Did he ever, really?

The storyline is…good-ish, I guess. The resolution of the whole shadow/vorlon thing is silly, the only episode with decent dialogue is the one episode he *didn't* write, and the dude does not understand you can have subtext without a riddle-talking alien or repeated foreshadowing.

Yeah, seriously "Englishman in New York?" Really? A Sting song that's older than the Ponds?

> I’m annoyed at the Seattle union speaking up against her on behalf of all musicians
Yes, heaven forfend that a labor union speak on behalf of the workers they're supposed to represent…
For me, it all comes down to the word "professional-ish" in her intial request. If she'd just said "good" then we go from "hey, I…

One of my best friends had "We're in This Together" as her wedding song.

And yes that's a thing that exists.
